MASTERCLASS/BALLET/CONCERT

The Paris Opera and the Centre Pompidou Present a master class, ballet and concert performances to celebrate the 350th Anniversary.

The Paris Opera and the Centre Pompidou have decided to join forces again to mark the anniversary year of the Paris Opera. More specifically, this new joint venture allows for the organisation of a series of lectures, masterclasses, encounters and performances bringing together artists, scenographers and major figures from the world of opera and ballet in association with the creative minds and participants in the Centre Pompidou’s cultural programme.

Degas at the Opera, an exhibition of Degas's art, focusing on his passion and perspective for the opera.

The work of a truly great artist offers us the portrait of the Paris Opera in the 19th century. This exhibition is organised by the Musée d’Orsay and the National Gallery of Art in Washington.

Hip Hop Battle | Paris Opera Academy Event

Hip Hop Battle Semi Finals and Finals on the stage of the Palais Garnier 

A beat. Everything begins with a beat, a rhythm and movement. That’s just what brings together different forms of dance. To celebrate the anniversary of the Paris Opera, the Academy, in collaboration with Juste Debout, will be offering the public a grand Battle at the Palais Garnier. After regional heats, the winners will gather together on December 26, 2019 to compete in the finals on the stage of the Opera Garnier. Between the hip-hop battles, the audience will also have a chance to appreciate the virtuosity and excellence of some of the great stars of street dance, such as Salah Benlemqawanssa and Neguin as well as dancers from the Paris Opera Ballet in performances celebrating movement and music – all forms of music from electronic to baroque…
