Adopt a Seat
For the very first time, the Paris Opera is offering to its patrons the unique opportunity to adopt a seat at the Palais Garnier
and support access to the arts for the younger generations.
Inscribe your name on the back of a chair
For the first time in its history, the Opéra National de Paris is offering its patrons the unique opportunity to adopt its theater's iconic plush velvet chairs. In exchange for your generous contribution, your name and message will be engraved on a plaque affixed to the chair of your choosing.
The importance of furniture for Charles Garnier lies in his conviction that the mind is influenced by what surrounds it. The armchairs of the Palais Garnier help to arouse this first impression, and confer all its magic to the experience of the spectator.
Made of black tinted wood and upholstered red velvet, these armchairs are emblematic of the Napoleon III style and contribute to the richness of the monument's decorations. In this way, the seats of the Palais Garnier constitute a living heritage.
.. and benefit the new generation
