The Paris Opera confirmed that the two Ring Cycle planned on November 23, 2020 and December 2, 2020 will be performed by the Paris Opera Orchestra at the Bastille Opera for the 1st cycle and at Radio France for the second.
Due to the Covid-19, the Ring Festival planned in November and December 2020 will not be presented in the new stage direction by Calixto Bieito. Indeed, the current Paris Opera Director Stéphane Lissner decided to take advantage of this period of restrictions to launch a series of necessary renovation works on both the Palais Garnier and the Opera Bastille’s main stages, renovations originally planned for the summer 2021. These will last until late November 2020 at the Bastille Opera and early January 2021 at the Palais Garnier.
However, the Paris Opera will be able to present a concert version of the full Ring cycle the week of November 23, 2020 at the Opera Bastille:

Das Rheingold, 2h30 without any intermission
– Tuesday, November 24th

This concert version will be conducted by Music Director Philippe Jordan and performed by the Paris Opera Orchestra.
“Wagner’s Ring is the most demanding and extraordinary masterpiece. It’s a beautiful and powerful way to celebrate the work we’ve done for the past 10 years as Music Director of the Paris Opera Orchestra. “
Philippe Jordan, Music Director of the Paris Opera Orchestra
A second concert version of the Ring cycle is to be presented at Radio France auditorium
