The Paris Opera Ballet will perform for the first time in this mythical amphitheatre on two exceptional dates: July 20 and 21, 2022.

On the open-air stage and accompanied by the LA Phil under the baton of Maestro Gustavo Dudamel, musical director of the Paris Opera & Ballet, the Company will present an anthology of its repertoire in front of more than 17,000 spectators per evening.

For two nights this summer, Dudamel, who was appointed Music Director of Paris Opera in 2021 and is celebrating his fourteenth year as Music & Artistic Director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, will unite two of the world’s leading arts institutions – the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Paris Opera Ballet – for two spectacular evenings of dance, as could only be realized at the Hollywood Bowl.
With Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic setting the scene, 30 dancers from the Paris Opera Ballet, including the world-renowned “Étoiles” of the company, will make their Bowl debuts in an evening of highlights from extraordinary ballets from the core classical canon and of today. This type of program is rarely done, even in France, and this will be the Paris Opera Ballet’s first performance in Los Angeles in their 350-year history. World-renowned pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet will be the guest pianist for the program.
