Paris Opera & Ballet 20/21 Season
From September to November 2020, a series of concerts, a programme of neo-classical and classical ballets performed by the Opera’s Étoiles and Premiers Danseurs, as well as another series of performances by the Paris Opera Ballet bringing together four creations by contemporary choreographers.
Alexander Neef to begin as General Director as of September 1, 2020
Stephane Lissner will quit his position as General Manager as of September 1, 2020. He will be succeeded by Alexander Neef on that very same date to start working on the future of the institution right away.

UPDATE – The Ring Cycle in concert version
The Paris Opera confirmed that the two Ring Cycle planned on November 23, 2020 and December 2, 2020 will be performed by the Paris Opera Orchestra at the Bastille Opera for the 1st cycle and at Radio France for the second.
Important information – Stage renovation work at the Paris Opera from July 2020
The stage renovation and maintenance work of the Opéra Bastille and the Palais Garnier, which were originally scheduled for the summer of 2021, to start in the Summer of 2020 instead. The lyric and choreographic programming of the Opéra national de Paris will therefore resume at the end of November 2020 in Bastille and January 2021 in Garnier.

Alexander Neef appointed incoming General Director of the Paris Opera
Alexander Neef has been appointed incoming General Director of the Paris Opera by the President of the Republic, acting on a proposal put forward by the Minister of Culture, Franck Riester.
