[Covid-19] The Paris Opera & Ballet Streaming Series free operas and ballet online #LOPERACHEZSOI

Announcement – The Paris Opera and Ballet is temporarily closed following directives from the governments and expert scientists to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus. 

The safety of our Paris Opera and AFPOB Staff, Members and Patrons as well as visitors remains—as always—our top priority, and we look forward to welcoming you again when the Palais Garnier and Bastille Opera reopen. 

In the meantime, the Paris Opera has decided to provide and host for free a selection of free operas and ballets online – as follows: 

  • Manon, by Jules Massenet (2020)– new production supported by AFPOB this season – Streaming available from March 17 to March 22, 2020
  • Don Giovanni, by W. A. Mozart (2019)– Streaming available from March 23 to March 29, 2020
  • Swan Lake, by Rudolf Nureyev (2019) – Streaming available from March 30 to April 5, 2020
  • Il Barbiere di Siviglia, by Gioachino Rossini (2014) – Streaming available from April 6 to April 14, 2020
  • Tribute to Jerome Robbins (2018) – Streaming available from April 13 to April 19, 2020
  • The Tales of Hoffmann, by Jacques Offenbach (2016) – Streaming available from April 20 to April 26, 2020
  • Carmen, by Georges Bizet (2017) – Streaming available from April 27 to May 3, 2020
  • Tchaikovsky Cycle – with the Paris Opera Orchestra conducted by Music Director Philippe Jordan – Streaming available from March 21 to May 3, 2020

The free streaming will be published online at 7.30pm Paris time zone on Mondays and will then be available for one week – in partnership with Culturebox and viewable on the Paris Opera website and Facebook, as well as Culturebox.
